Electrical Noise from left side of trunk
Recently inherited a 2003 S500 and really know very little about them. I am getting a short burst of an electrical noise that sounds like some sort of actuator that last for about a second and then repeats every 3-5 seconds. It is coming from the left side of the trunk just in front of the CD holder. It starts even before I crank up the car. Any ideas what this is or how it would need to be fixed? Any help would be appreciated.

Air pump
that's probably the air pump used to perform the door-lock and soft close function for all the doors and the trunk. (And the rear seats head rests drop down function?)
If if you have leaks in any of the air lines or manifold or the locks, the air pump will cycle a lot to try to achieve the correct pressure.
