S55: pulley questions

I have a 2006 S55 AMG and would like the "best bang for the buck" mod which is DIY. I would like to do the pulley mod but :

1. Can I do one without having to have the ECU tuned?

2. Which size to get without having to retune the ECU?

77mm clutched pulley and tune would be ideal. You would need a tune if you want to be safe with fuel. The car will not run right without it and also would be dangerous.

77 is too small if you want to avoid an ECU tune.

Larger pulleys are available that don't "require" a tune but you'll be leaving HP on the table w/out one.

I was thinking of doing an 83mm then maybe a tune later. I'll let you know how it goes if I do.
