2008 S63 AMG Can't Set Clock

The clock in my 2008 S63 is not synching with the Comand unit.

The problem appears to be with the Comand unit, as the Comand unit isn’t retaining the date, month, year or time setting, when you try to change it. (It defaults back to the factory setting).

Mercedes-Benz of Steven’s Creek installed a new Comand unit, without any luck.

Any ideas on what is going on, as they’re telling me that the problem is on Mercedes-Benz’s end, whatever that means.

Hmmmmmmm......

I'm also unable to get the clock to change after 'falling back.'

Anyone with a pointer? I was able to get it to 'spring forward' easily.

How do u add fluid to the trunk atf reservoir that controls conv top? There is no conventional cap thanks Mercedes’s for doing that. People say syringe. I bought the 722.99 piece doesn’t screw into it. I can’t rebuild actuators until I can get roof unlocked and fluid added to this reservoir in the trunk. Why oh why did mercedes do this? Bentjy/Porsche here I come ..

Unhappy S63 clock update issue

I had this same issue in my 2009. I would set the date/time on the COMAND unit and it would not update the analog clock and the date/time kept reverting back to the default values. I took the main radio/disc changer out and disconnected the electrical cables for about 15 minutes. After I put it back in, I was able to set the clock and it retained the date/time. I assume you could do the same thing by pulling the fuse to the unit. I had to take the unit out anyway for a different reason. It's a quick and easy job to take it out. Search YouTube. I hope this helps.

I had the same issue, disconnecting the main battery fixed it for me.
