Is the error red or white? Either way, after the car sits overnight, check the level of the hydraulic fluid (under the hood, behind the driver’s headlight — google can help you locate it). If the fluid is low, go and buy some Pentosin and top it off (again, google can help). Then have a dealer or a good independent mechanic you trust (dealer is preferred if you have any doubt whatsoever) perform an ABC system flush / refill and filter service. If you can afford it (not being funny hear — we don’t know), have them replace all of your accumulators unless they’ve been replaced before. That should handle most issues with these, unless you have real problems, key words being “should” and “most”. That shouldn’t go over $1k.
