S55 aftermarket rims and tire question.
I have been researching what size tires to get with aftermarket rims but I see that no one talked about the load rating. I know that the front has to be 101y and the rear 100y. Now to the question, I want to get 20's niche misano m117 rims but the tires that I was looking at are bigger then what every post I read have. I was looking at 245/45r20f and 275/35r20R and wanted to see if the wheel guys on here would know if these would fit? I do have adjustable links and can raise it.

I just bought a 2003 S55 with 20s on it, and extra wide 20s at that, knowing I was going to remove them and throw them away. Tires had visible rub damage, car lot guy said it would need tires. I told him no, it needs tires AND wheels, as those are %#$@.
The size you posted IS the tire size that was mounted, but the sidewalls are splayed because the wheels are too wide, and the fenders rub the tires. Once, it was even parked with the rear fenders sitting on the tires! (I cranked it up, shifted to reverse, and the car lifted, but damn... I now keep the high ride button on!)
I have no idea of the width of these wheels, and I can't tell you if those tires will fit in the fenders of proper width wheels, so I don't know that I'm helping you. I can tell you for sure, don't spread the sidewalls out!!!!

I've been trying to spec out a set of 20" wheels as well and have found a 20x8.5 with a 245/35/20 and a 20x10 with a 275(285)/30/20 will get you as close as possible to the stock 18" AMG wheels.

Those tires will work as long as the rims are the right offset. If you plan on running those sizes together in the front and rear it will not work do to the diameter of the tire being different. Use a 245 40 20 in the front.
