S55 IC Pump and Heat Exchanger

Can any of you W220 S55 owners comment on upgrading the IC pump and heat exchangers? From what I've been reading it looks like the Bosch 010 IC pump is a good choice? Does it just plug in where the factory one is without modification?

For the heat exchanger, is it unnecessary because the S55 already has 2? I'm not planning on doing any modifications to the car other than an ECU tune. TIA!

Bosch 010 is a direct plug-n-play, easy :15-20 minute job. A good time to do a coolant flush while you are at it. the 2 factory heat exchangers work well, but i dont know if there is much advantage in upgrading. the S55 has a better cooling system than the e55 due to the 2nd heat exchanger and self bleeding system. good luck!

I used the 010 pump for a while, but have recently swapped to a Meziere pump when the last one died. Both pumps are great, and the 010 definitely wins on ease of installing. I've scoured the internet looking for aftermarket heat exchangers and it looks like we're on our own. I will probably call Bell and have them make a custom sized core with the inlet and outlet on the same side.
