Resting Engine Heat - 2008 S63 AMG

Hello,
First time poster and happy to be part of the community.
I just bought my second Mercedes, a used but well loved 2008 S63 AMG with about 95K Miles.
I've noticed that when I pull it into the garage and turn the car off, the engine would still radiate a fair amount of heat for an extended period.
I know its a large engine so I didn' t think too much of it.

Then I put a thermal thermometer to it and the thermometer would give readings from 130F to 160F at different parts of the engine.
Has anyone else come across this for this type of vehicle? Is this normal for these high performance engines?
To be fair, the normal operating temperature that displays on the dashboard has been reading at 80-100 (I think Celcius?)

Look forward to hearing back.

My ML63 does this. The M156 is known to run HOT! The temperature reading you are getting is for the coolant. The exhaust manifolds are extremely hot, and radiate huge amounts of heat. Nothing to worry about, enjoy the car

2008 Mercedes S63 AMG
Thanks for letting me know as I just bought a 2008 S63 AMG and noticed the same heat condition. Love the car in the short time I have owned her.
