Do you get used to seeing new messages?

I’m a fairly new S55 AMG owner and I’m wondering if you all have gotten used to seeing intermittent warnings that then go away? I’ve had a blinker light that didn’t work, took it out, didn’t find anything wrong. Drove to get a new bulb and on the way home it started working again. I also get a TPMS not working alarm periodically. The car is a 2006 with only 62K miles.

The indicator lights issue is a function of how quickly you’re snapping the lights on, at least in my experience. If you turn it too fast the lights don’t seem to fire up quickly enough so the computer thinks something is wrong. You’re likely never to see that with the lights on Automatic, unless there’s really a problem. The TPMS indicator could be anything, but it’s fairly common, particularly if weather changes quickly (Barometric pressure), wheels and tires are the wrong size and/or pressure (common on these cars by now), etc. Keep in mind those monitors are likely 14 years old by now, so all bets are off.

What we’ve gotten used to is ignoring virtually every other warning than ABC System Visit Workshop. The rest is noise.
