I haven't had many issues. Just some small things that I had to take care of that the previous owner overlooked. So far I've installed 2 new batteries, changed out the pcv breather and oil separator and bled the intercoolers. Next up is a trans fluid and filter change and engine mounts. Most of the things that need to be done can be DIY but for some I'll take it to my indy shop. A 2013 63 is a beast of a car. That would have been my next choice but I'm happy with what I got. These cars are all about preventative maintenance. If you keep up with it and don't wait until there's a problem I think they'll last a very long time.

Petey the S-63 does not have the diamond stitched leather of the S-65. Also lacks the bent-12 tone. If you go the S-63 route be sure it is new enough to have the seven speed box. That is one thing I wish for in my S-65.

I took a look at the car myself and yes the S63 does have the 7G trans. This particular one is the 2013, so it’s the last MY of the W221 chassis. Should not have the head bolt issue either that the pre 2010 63s had.What is bent-12 tone?

Bent-12 tone..... You are familiar with the sound your 5.5 liter bent eight makes when you lean on it.....
The bent-12 makes an utterly different tone.... Sound. Can be felt throughout the car when driving as a savage. You have to spend some time in one to appreciate it. Also shoves harder as 740lb/ft in standard form.

I haven't driven it as much as I had hoped due to the pandemic. The car had 50k on it when I got it. I have only put 1k on it so far, it's not a daily driver. I've replaced small maintenance items like ABC fluid and filter, trans fluid and filter, spark plugs. Engine mounts will be done within the next month. Then I'll look into getting the Speedriven intercooler kit to get rid of that heat soak and maybe some weistech anti surge valves. So far she's a solid car, I really haven't had any issues but I haven't driven her much either. Also I'll get the engine and trans tune from Speedriven.

I contacted sales@speedriven.com and got a few replies back from Marcin K. He responded pretty quickly. He sent me the quote info for the upgrades that I want to do.

Huh. Google notes them being permanently closed, but their website says new site coming soon. So, yeah, sounds kind of like they are rolling again. There have been many posts and discussions here about them, so that's where my comment came from.
