Feedback on 2017 S65 AMG - Reviews/Comments/Experiences/
Hi all! I'm looking to purchase a 2017 S65 AMG Cabriolet with low mileage (10-15K). I have a few questions for those of you who have the S65AMG:
1/ Are they reliable? Experience with wear-tear, RWD vs. AWD, etc.?
2/ If you had any issues with them, what were they? What mileage did they happen at, what was driving style, rough approximation of cost?
3/ Overall, are you satisfied with the car? Pros/Cons in experience? Rather have opted for an S63AMG?
3.5/ Thoughts on needing PPF clear film over the car given rock chips, paint splatters, etc.? The car paint is a matte color.
3.75/ Looking to possibly get the car sleek, so getting black decal logos on the front and back, eventually black-out-ing the front engine grill, etc. Reviews on where best to get it?
4/ The cabriolet is amazing to drive/love the open nature exposure. How long do you think these last as a buyer? 2-3 years, 5-7 years, 10-10+ years? Will avg. 5-7K miles/year.
Thank you for helping a first-time buyer and looking forward to the community!!!

S6amg.nyc - if you're going to go that new you could get one that's certified, like this one below... Obviously i don't know what your budget is, and if you're willing to wait you can probably find them certified and alot less...I know I would wait, I just noticed, the seller of the car below claims there are only 2 certified for sale right now in the country on AT see below.

I never owned a W221, went straight to a W222 S65 from the W220. Based on what I recall from the reviews at the introduction of the W221, it was an all around better driving car than the W220 with all the structure, suspension and steering improvements. The W221 was 100 pounds heavier, the driveline was unchanged in the S65. Wheels were upgraded to 20's with 10mm wider tires front and rear. There were a lot of initial reports of problems with the new electronics/instrumentation in 2007. Not sure how these were resolved by MB.
