So the EIS died in my s55 which has ABC. If I swap the EIS, gear selector, ECU, and key from my S500 W220 will I be able to reprogram the ECU to work with ABC? The S500 has airmatic suspension. The S55 and S500
One thing has nothing to do with the other. The ABC ECU is located on the driver's side and takes care of everything suspension-related. The ABC ecu grabs data from the engine ECU through the CAN Bus but the engine ECU won't care who's handling suspension duties whether AIRMatic or ABC.
BTW, your mileage will not work anymore and you will have a Airbag/SRS light on and you will get a Pre-Safe unavailable message on the cluster every time you start your car once you swap these items out.

interesting. It's a preface lift so you're sure that's the case? Can I fix that with Xentry? Or vediamo or something? I just sent the car to the dealership today for a new EIS so it may be a non-issue now.
