Yes, these engine bays are so packed with things that sucking in hot air would cause internal engine temperature to rise and fast too.
Car companies do their research in how to effectively provide the engine air. I think the stock intake is just fine. It's sad people actually believe these provide more horsepower when not correctly routing them.

We aren't claiming any gains on the kit, however these will be required for our larger intercoolers and intake manifold. Its possible they do make power, but we don't physically have a 275 car here to test on ourselves though. They are the same idea as the SD scorpion intakes. Just a different design.

I’m interested in up-sized charge coolers with air filtration akin to what Brabus does with the Rocket 900. Will also need more heat exchanger in front of the radiator to get charge air heat out. I’m in Phoenix where summer IAT’s make engine management pull power in a big way.
