I have a S63 221 2008 that has a broken cylinder block, piston and head. The engine code s 156-980. I have been trying to get a good condition engine to replace the broken one but have not been successful. I have however come across a similar engine with a code 156-984 that is from an ML 63. Can any of you please confirm if the ML engine can be installed in the S 63? I am happy to swap the parts from one engine to the other except for the cylinder block and the heads.

might have a different oil pan. You can swap your original oil pan with a new motor. Other than that it should be the same. How did you manage to bust the head , piston and block ? Did it freeze and break or were you beating it ?
