S55 Redesign....When does the new body style come out?
Saw the picture online but haven't been able to find it again. The back looks like a bmw of all things.........I'm sure like all S class re-designs......it'll take time to grow on you.
Anybody know what month/year the new car launch will be?

my understanding is that the new design will be out 2006.
word out on the street is that an amg version won't be out until a year after.
even then...you don't want to buy the 1st or 2nd year.
I got screwed buying an '02, took the bullet, and am now purchasing a '05...just got word that it passed customs and will be here in two weeks.
the spy photos out there are still very vague. they say it's going to be bigger than the current model...going back to being larger like the previous model before this current one.
I thought about waiting....but after driving an '02 for a couple of years....it's big enough.
There's plenty of leg room in the front and the back. In my opinion, I think it's roomier than a bmw 7 series (sat in one while visiting a bmw dealer).
They've done a great job refining the s55 over the years. The car is awsome, and I can't imagine needing MORE room (don't want to be driving a limo now).
anyways...good luck.....keep in mind....there's always going to be better....you have to draw the line somewhere.
I really enjoyed my '02, and the '05 gives it the extra umph...I'll be keeping it as a collector.
