2008 S63 Reversible Emergency Tensioning Retractor Not Working
Hi everyone,
I recently bought a used 2008 S63 that has the following fault codes for the left front and right front reversible emergency tensioning retractors:
5205 (current) - CAN message from the control module 'N2/7 (Restraint systems control module)' is faulty. Driver seat belt buckle status
5206 (current) - CAN message from the control module 'N2/7 (Restraint systems control module)' is faulty. Front passenger seat belt buckle status
I believe that these faults are causing the airbag light to be on without any fault codes coming up in the airbag system. When I buckle the seat belts, the scanner shows that the seat belts aren't buckled. When I sit in the car without buckling the seat belt, the seat belt light is off. There are no other codes that I suspect would be causing the airbag light to be on. If you know how to fix these faults, please advise!
