Does the 2003-2006 U.S. S55 AMG have secondary cats ? or are they just resonators ?

Does the 2003-2006 U.S. S55 AMG have secondary cats ? or are they just resonators ?
Okay so do our cars only have primary cats ? I just got exhaust work done, and my shop told me that my s55 only has a set of primary cats and the secondary cats are actually resonators. Can someone verify this ? They said they were hollow and no mesh.

I think that’s right… primary cats in the downpipes, to a “center resonator” (the oddly shaped thing that people often replace for XPipes), to resonators under the rear floor pan, to mufflers. When I’m at a computer I’ll update this post with a schematic.
Here’s what people turn that into, with an XPipe and resonator delete.

EDIT: Sorry, I cannot get the exhaust schematic to upload. But any dealer parts counter can print it out for you. The "center resonator" are not catalytic converters. They are hollow resonators connected by an H-Pipe, more or less.
