S65AMG For Sale (for discussion purposes)

I miss by Black W221 S550.... and I think we will look back on these W221 S65's like we do the 6.0 AMG's of the '80s

The V12 is a bit of a gas hog but it can really move. It'll do 90 all day long and a lot more if you dare.
Outside of usual plugs, fluids, and filters, I replaced:
ABC pulsation dampener - typical for the mileage
Sunroof motor - typical for the age
Alternator - it went out at 64k
Charcoal evap canister and harness - typical early W221 issue
Resealed the roof mounted antenna - this took some thought as the Mercedes way is to replace the entire fixed section of the pano roof.
Brake rotors and pads all around - this is one area where AMG differentiates from standard Mercedes parts prices as they are much more expensive
Two rims - cracks from a pothole that I didn't see until it was too late
The transmission was remand at 68k due to a clogged filter - the one thing i didn't change when I bought the car
It had no leaks during the time I had it, and oil consumption was typical for an early version.
The air bladders in the drivers seat were starting to go at 80k. This seems to be typical. I was planning an entire seat rebuild until a year ago
at 84k, whlst driving at normal speed the car went into limp mode and lost significant power, barely able to run.
It was towed to my local mechanic who discovered that 4 cylinders were misfiring, and that there was raw fuel in those four cylinders.
In the process of clearing the cylinders of the raw fuel, somehow ignition occured causing an engine area fire. The car was mechanically totalled.
Due to the fire it was not possible to determine what caused the issue - wiring harness, MCU, or ?
Given that I have not seen others share a similar story, I have to beleive my experience was way out of the common.
I now have a '15 S550. It is a fine car. But there is just something missing, even though it in so many ways has better tech, etc.
Every time I pressed the start button on the S65, I wasn't starting a car. I was beginning an event.
