My 2003 S55 has lost communication with the key. Key has new batteries in it and is still sending out the IR signal but DOES NOT TURN in my ignition only clicks in. I noticed fuse 78 was shorting out which controls my ignition lock amongst other things. Car battery died, so I had to access my trunk by jumping it from the passenger side footwell. Put a new battery in, to no luck. I’ve read jumping the car the way I did can blow a flat fuse located in the footwell, but can’t find anything online in regards to those fuses. IM ON MY LAST LEGS can anyone who experienced these symptoms help me out here? What steps should I take in order for me to start her back up?
