E55 headers on a S55

E55 headers on a S55
Anybody have pics of the modifications need to fit? VRP is having a sale on the E55 headers and thinking it might be worth the fab work needed since they’re less than half price of the S55 headers and I don’t need to wait months for them.

You will need to trim the subframe, and possibly reroute the header outlet(s), by cutting, repositioning, and rewelding.
You really need to just see where there's interference, when installing the E55 headers. Then resolve those areas.
I haven't installed them myself but have read that's how-to install E55 headers on an S55.

2002 CL500 to CL55 conversion
I just dropped some e55 headers in my 2003 s55. Previous post is basically correct, bend a couple heat shields, trim away the subframe (both sides) and you may have to re weld the outlet angle. Some cars, especially with worn or smaller engine mounts may be able to get away without any welding
