I have my beautiful 2011 S63 with M157 engine RWD with BMC filter, UPD Underdrive crank pulley and tuned by my cousin who is a legend in tuning, my next move is to replace the thermostat with blackboost thermostat due to our hot weather it reaches 122 degrees Fahrenheit and the radiator fan keep working on the high speed, I already ordered RENNtech diverter valve, now I'm searching for Downpipe and I only can find Weistec and it's over priced $3400 I can fabricate a whole exhaust for less than that price, does any of you guys install it and which brand did you choose.
IMO, purchasing downpipes seems very expensive if you can fabricate them yourself. Even if a local shop can make them for you. I'm searching for a shop to do downpipes on my '13 63...but in the CLS that I had, online prices for DPs were about $2k+ and the shop made and installed everything for me for $700. Had no issues afterwards. I'm planning to do the same with my S63.
If you want SS or titanium material, then yes the cost will go up. I think my shop used the standard/mild steel for the DPs. I, personally, would not be spending almost $4k on two set of pipes.
