'04 S55AMG rims & tires - Question
I just bought my '04 ... and in driving it home VA --> FL hit a decent sized pot hole....blew front right tire, cracked that rim a little....and totally F'd up the rear right rim (see pic).
With these rims - pictured, I have to replace all 4 because the company that makes them - AvantGarde - doesnt make 1 or 2 .... has to be a set.
I bought all four tires for it...a 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 for rear. So will be sticking to a 20" rim.
So my question ..... does anyone know what the offset should be?? or is it something you have to have someone (manuf.) measure? I am thinking the later, so it may be best to take it in to a shop that specializes in rims/wheels?????
Cheers.

If you go for wider wheels F or R, the offsets will change. Play around with this to figure that out (https://www.customwheeloffset.com/ti...et-calculators) but if I were you I'd stick with the factory wheel widths to avoid rubbing, etc.
I think there are some W221 20' wheels that fit these cars as well. Check here ... https://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/me..._iii_wheel_464 ... looks like ET43 will get you there.
There's a rabbit hole you can go down with wider and bigger wheels but I'm not into it. Unless you're doing some custom forged wheel that's going to be lighter and stronger, going with larger boat anchors on the car is never really it. The factory W221 20" AMG are NLA I think, but you might be able to find decent sets on eBay.

But I am trying to play with the cards I got delt with....which means those tire sizes...as I have four brand new tires....so I just need rims to fit those tires (I know assbackwards!!)
Appreciate the response.
