HVAC Blower Motor Issue

HVAC Blower Motor Issue
2005 S55 AMG Blower motor slows way down when turning steering wheel, especially to the left, and resumes normal speed when brought back to center. Any thoughts?

Sounds like a possible voltage issue. Access the secret HVAC menu by turning the key to position two. Make sure your climate control is on and just turn the fan down to low. Then hold the "Rest" button in until you see the menu pop up on the screen. Using the Driver side up/down hot/cold arrows, scroll up (about 24 times) until you get to NR.24 which will show you your current battery voltage. You can then turn the car on and the screen will stay. Turn your fan on high and cut the wheel back and forth and see how much voltage your dropping, if any. It will aslo tell you if your alternator is charging properly by a spike from the car being off to turning it on and running.
That menu will also show info such as speed and other goodies i haven't dived too deep into.
If its an issue with the motor/resistor pack itself, they are pretty inexpensive, just make sure you buy both together as a kit.
When i bought my S55 mine was fried. I think the salty air did it in. It was fairly easy to replace and has worked like a charm ever since.
