Oil Change with MOBIL 1

I am currently getting my oil changed during the Service A and B intervals at the dealership which is around 10,000 miles I believe. I plan on doing my own oil changes between those intervals, say around 5,000 miles or so. Any suggestions on what I need to purchase at the dealer to do a complete oil and filter change? Also, any suggestions on what weight of Mobil 1 to use?

All you need to buy is the filter from the dealer, and its fairly inexpensive. Also a good pump thingy to pump the oil out of the engine. You can get Mobil 1 0W-40 from many online retailers for a fairly good price, and some local stores might even carry it. Just make sure that its synthetic and not some dino oil. Other than that you should be fine. 0W-40 is what your dealer uses and also what many European cars use now. I have had no problems with it in the E320, or the E55 and both run great. The E320 still runs like its new even with 70K miles on it.
