Decide what's more important to you: cost savings or new car customized with your options
Cost savings but i always worried about the reliability of 2nd hand car, i dont know how the past owner drives. he could ve went to track everyday with it and all, that's another concern plus i dont want to be going to the shop right after i get the car...

This will depend on the used car you find. You can offset risk by asking for full service record, getting a tech to evaluate the car in detail and look for a CPO vehicle. If it's under warranty by and large you'll not face any major problems as someone spending this kind of money tends to take care of their carOriginally Posted by jchiang

Most amgs are not taken to the track let alone everyday
I ordered my Benz in 09 with the options I wanted as I was not able to find exactly what I wanted on the used market. I decided to lease as I wanted an initial lower monthly payment. After the lease was up I decided to buy the car since the buyout was a good deal. This car is my daily driver but plan on keeping it as I enjoy driving it every day. I have recently been looking for a cls550 but cannot find the color and options I wanted. If you do find a used car that is to your liking do as peterubers suggests and get a car fax, find a cpo car, and search multiple listings.

I'd get a used CPO with unlimited mileage warranty added to the original warranty (no overlap).

With AMG CPO, you don't have many options. I wouldn't get a 2013 (first model year), so there are only 5 CPO AMGs nationwide - 2 2014s and 3 2015s.
Plus, the $ savings don't look that material.
