No worries. Hopefully with the software updates and the new battery all will be fine with the car.
About a week ago my CLS63S had a hiccup after restarting from an Eco stop - it restarted then stalled momentarily. Luckily I didn't have an aggressive driver behind me else I might have been rear ended. That feature is now getting turned off whenever I start the car. I'm pretty sure it also killed the battery after only one year - it was replaced free of charge by MB Roadside.
They really need a setting to disable ECO on startup; I assume it must be the startup default setting from the factory in order to meet some ridiculous gas mileage criteria.
Keep us posted, fulmitz. While this probably only affects a small percentage of the cars sold, it is a significant problem with major safety implications... MB really needs to get to the bottom of it and do a recall for a definitive software and/or hardware fix. Hope you get it back soon.
I’ve been having a similar experience to you fulmitz regarding the software updates. Germany have provided a number of software updates they wanted done along with a whole lot of decoding instructions they wanted carried out. As the dealership have been able to hold on to my car for as long as they needed, they’ve had the time to run tests post-upgrades.
Unfortunately the post upgrade tests have shown that the problem hasn't been fixed.
I too have bought many cars from my dealership over many years and have never had a problem with them.
Even though this experience hasn’t been the best (in so far as ordering a car that has given me so much grief in the short time I’ve had it), every other car I’ve bought from Mercedes and this dealership in particular has been the usual experience… GREAT! So looking at another brand was never an option, instead - I’ve decided to move up to the S65.
I’m in the process of ordering an S65 with Cavansite Blue exterior, Black/Saddle Brown Exclusive Nappa Leather Interior with carbon fibre trim, Magic Sky Control roof & I may even go ‘ostentatious’ with the Swarovski crystal headlights. No offence if you have the Swarovski crystal. Lighthearted joke. Trust me, I like the crystals and I'm seriously considering them.
If all goes well with getting my order in, I may be looking at a March-April 2016 delivery.
I hope everyone else having this problem is being looked after. If I have any other/further updates, I’ll let you know.

Since they only had it once I guess they have 2 more goes before I return it permanently. I hope its fixed as I really do love the car.
Sala, good luck with your new car. The S65 is awesome! I just can't justify another 80k on top of what this car cost me. Just not there yet. If I do get rid of this, I may just get an AMG GT-S.
I'll keep you all posted!
No luck with my car, team came out from Germany , replicated the problem but can't seem to fix it.
Still cuts off at low speeds.
Dealership refunded my purchase. However they still trying to resolve the issue.
Will let u know if they find a fix.
Cheers!
Fortunately I just disconnected the battery overnight and it never happened since...
Am not sure if electrical is also part of the problem... for what I know, you guys are equipped with the lighter carbon fiber batteries in your S-Class (pls correct me if am wrong) so am not sure if that is also contributing to the problem. cars nowadays are equipped with too much computers on board so I can just imagine your S-Class. it takes a toll as well on the electrical system. am not sure if you're steering is also electrically assisted because so far as what I've read, there are those when they turn, the car dies down. maybe its drinking a lot of juice from the battery that is shuts down hence no fault code because no electricity to record to begin with... maybe just maybe, not a mechanic here but maybe it would make sense...
so I guess I'll be going for the S500 Coupe
(its just 500 for us outside US)
