Pulled the trigger on a CPO... Swarovski headlamps retrofit on MY15 ?
Well after still not being able to secure a price or build date on a MY17 S63 Coupe fro two major local dealerships, I decided to pull the trigger on a CPO MY15. It had the important stuff I wanted, and is saving me about $63k from the loaded car I was going to order.
Anyone know if the Swarovski headlamps can be retrofit ? This MY15 car does have Nightview assist (a prerequisite per M-B), and Mercteil sells the Swarovski lamp set for about 4000 Euro; I could resell the standard lamps to recoup some of that.
Car is magnetite black which was not my top choice... if I don't love it, I can always do a matte white wrap. In which case I would probably order the exterior CF parts (also available from Mercteil, albeit at a very high price) or at least black wrap the standard silver trim pieces.
Also I will want to get new shoes, this one comes with the standard 5 spoke AMG wheels. If anyone sees a good deal on a set of pull-off AMG forged wheels (S63 or S65) please let me know - otherwise probably will go with slightly oversized HRE or ADV.1 rims.
Other options car has are the High End Burmester, designo Exclusive crystal gray / black interior, Warmth/Comfort and heated windshield (definitely unnecessary here in AZ but oh well), DAP, and carbon fiber interior trim.
Will do an ECU tune and Video-In-Motion once I get the car. If Lo-Mo ever releases a module that works with the W222/C217, will get that too.

I would also like to know if
the headlamps retrofit
Outstanding find - the wheels are an easy fix
https://mbworld.org/forums/s63-amg-4...-boutique.html
Like you white is still my first choice
but am open to a wrap
And no waiting until... to drive it
It may still smell new
Enjoy your peace of mind and possible mods
Thank-You

Thank you. I'm pretty excited, as much as I love my CLS63, I've wanted an S Coupe since I first saw the concept car back in 2013.
It won't be leaving California for a few days, so I will inquire with FJ re: possible dealer installation of Swarovski headlamps, exterior CF package, and forged wheels. Expecting the answer to be either no or yes at extraordinarily high expensive, since it is a pre-owned car.
I posted a WTB for pull-off forged wheels here, also can source from a few sellers on Ebay... and there is always Mercteil
I know one member had posted here previously about his car (one of the first MY16 to arrive) getting the headlamps swapped in at either the dealership or VPC, so I think it should be possible. And it would be ideal to get the Swarovski headlamps without the goofy interior crystals!

I was looking for this post last night
If I remember right it was done at VPC
prior to delivery
Thank-You

Update...
Car is supposed be delivered tomorrow. I'm getting pretty excited!
After some research, I found USA sources for the Swarovski lamps and all the components of the OEM 773 exterior carbon fiber package (including engine cover) at a very nice discount. Quotes from the dealer - i.e. retail - were $7,600 for the headlamps and $14,780 for the 773 pkg
I'm getting the car wrapped in Avery satin pearl white. Trim and mirrors are being removed and bumpers dropped for that, so the new OEM parts will be installed upon reassembly. They're also going to powder coat the brake calipers for me, which involves disassembly and rebuild kits; I'll have the look of the CCBs but with the standard composite brakes. I'm also likely going to pick up a set of black forged 10-spoke wheels to replace the 5-spoke standard alloys.
When it's all complete, and I recoup a bit of cost by reselling the standard wheel and headlamps, I'll be in about $60k less than a MY17 would have been new... not bad for a basically identical vehicle with < 10k miles. It will be missing only the CCBs, and have the wrap instead of magno cashmere white factory paint.
Once the cosmetic upgrades are done, I'm going to have a good local shop do a stage II performance package which is good for 722 hp (600 at rear wheels) on 91 pump gas with ECU, catless downpipes, and high flow air filters.
I should have some pre-mod pics tomorrow.

The CCB's are the rarest option on the S65/63
And the Swarovski units are the second rarest option
The O.P. posted in another thread that the CCB's
make a car that is already exclusive even more exclusive
The Swarovski's do the same
At least until they are standard issue or the next great
light is created
These are the two options that I look for when I encounter
the S65/63 on the road
I am going for the look of the car that makes it just a little bit
different from the other S AMG's rolling around town
Not speaking for anyone else just my opinion
Thank-You

Hard for me to notice the difference between mine w/ SC lights and other S' w/o them when they go by. I doubt I would order them again, but I can understand your reason for wanting them.

For OEM at the dealer you are north of 15k
Also

There may be aftermarket applications as well
