New S63 has arrived, but I'm out of the country
So near, and yet so far. My new ride has arrived at last at my Charlotte dealership, but I'm out of the country for another 12 days.
S63 convertible, Edition 130, Alubeam over red/black. It seems to be rather shiny. It also seems to have been debadged. I assume it can be rebadged, as would be my preference. I wouldn't want anyone to mistake it for a mere S550.
Farewell to my CLS63, which I'm trading in.

I agree, haa, about the questionable additional cost for the paint. In fact, the car in its entirety isn't exactly a value proposition. But I knew that going in, and I don't much care.
Haven't seen Alubeam in person, but bought it just for its uniqueness. What I am familiar with is the engine, transmission, structural solidity, instrumentation, and creature comforts, based on prior purchases. Based on the performance and the looks, I'd buy one even if was only available in chartreuse. The wait is killing me.
