New ride, home at last: 2017 S63 Cabriolet Edition 130

.
Here's my new ride, in front of my dealership, W. H. Collins & Son Horses, Mules, Cattle, and Mercedes. I shall miss my mule, but I got a pretty good trade-in price.
And here it is at home. The red top is a pretty close match to my newly repainted house, but that was a coincidence. The difference between Iridium Silver (the 2013 SL63, rear) and Alubeam Silver is obvious, but a camera fails to capture the full extent of the shine and "liquid metal" look of the Alubeam; it must be seen to be appreciated.
All photos I had seen of the Edition 130 showed black 10-spoke wheels; I think these look better.
As this is my third consecutive Mercedes with essentially the same engine (2012 CLS63, traded in; 2013 SL63, keeping it; and the new ride), and the instrumentation is quite similar (touchpad interface on the new car is a notable improvement), the new car was instantly comfortable and familiar. It is remarkably quiet even top down; library-like with the lid closed. This, combined with its power, makes it a speeding ticket waiting to happen.

I agree that the black 10 spoke don't look good on Silver or Grey S63 Cabs.
IMHO I think the 10 spoke silver, however, are the best choice. Here's a photo of my wheels on my S63 Cab.
I've had my S63 Cab for about 2 1/2 months now. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. All the best with your new purchase!
