New to forum. Just purchased 2008 S63 AMG with 41k miles (2 previous owners). Had car gone over thoroughly by a qualified mechanic (not MB dealer). Owned new 2015 E Class but sold it before it reached 20k miles so major maintenance did not even come into play. I plan to drive the S63 regularly into my approaching retirement but know how the MB dealers or higher-end certified MB mechanics are looking to fund their retirement (with both needed and some “not so needed” repairs). Would like an experienced opinion on major maintenance I should plan for as this 11 year old S63 approaches 50k miles (or the mile marker you feel major work should be planned for).
