‘17 S63A4 Cabriolet - Rough Startup when cold
I’ve owned the vehicle for over a year (it was one of the last 2017s on the lot) ..
If the vehicle sits overnight, the startup is rough (idles up, then down, then Normal (about 800 RPM). Sometimes the vehicle will stall during idle-down. It has been this way (off and on) since delivery.
After nearly a month at the dealership, they can’t reproduce the problem. MB corporate involved, but they are siding with dealer (can’t fix what they can’t reproduce). I don’t seem to have a problem .. send the dealer videos, but that doesn’t seem to be sufficient.
Thoughts ???

Is the car outside at night or in a garage -
Do the same warm-up symptoms occur
during the warm summer nights of July and
August and the much colder nights of December
and January -
Has MB replaced the fuel delivery system -
What octane % are you running -
Does this happen every morning -
Some Vegas summer mornings are
80 degrees at 8am -
If you can provide more information
that would be very helpful -
Thank-You

Car is garaged at night and under a carport during the day (office).
Do the same warm-up symptoms occur during the warm summer nights of July and August and the much colder nights of December and January:
Yes
Has MB replaced the fuel delivery system:
No. However:
Local dealership has completed a compression test and a scope (per a recent work order) to check for compression issues, or leaky injectors
What octane % are you running:
91
Does this happen every morning - Some Vegas summer mornings are 80 degrees at 8am:
The problem seems to be sporadic. Can't consistently reproduce the issue, but when I can it seems to stick around for a while. For example when I picked up vehicle, it was doing just fine.
Thanks for responding & the discussion ...

I am going with some aspect of the fuel delivery system
being the problem with the warm-up situation -
I think that there is a problem somewhere in the
fuel delivery system -
By the time the dealership's service people are ready
to do whatever testing they claim they are doing the
car has already warmed up -
Something in the fuel delivery system is impeding the
flow of fuel during warm-up but once warmed up the fuel flows fine -
Thank-You
