I saw a video some time back with lights progressively lighting up on start and finish. Looking at MB docs, this should be a feature - MB Article - "Locking and unlocking the vehicle is additionally emphasised by an animated dynamic light sequence with subsequent dimming-up of the tail lights."
Locking, unlocking or starting the car does not produce any animation on my S63c.
Working in US with some magic trick or simply disabled?
Thanks Dan, we are doing well and I'm still in love with the coupe. It was interesting comparing to Taycan my boss has and I clearly had made the right choice for myself Still puzzled on what even to look at as a next car.

Hi Igor,
yes, it does have animation both on remote open and close. Opening has one sequence and closing the opposite.
it looks pretty neat. The strange thing is that I didn’t notice it until I tested it for you.
I would take the coupe to MB Lynnwood and ask for Garrett or Josh. Send them my regards and ask them to help fix it. You’re never going to go to any other dealership.

If you need an idea for your next car, visit Ben, and you’ll have an idea of a complimentary vehicle. The opposite type of car than the coupe. It’s a heavenly ride and it’s not built for speeding. I think it cuts off at 130 mph. I didn’t try and not just because of break-in. There is no need to rush anywhere. Anyway, Ben and Rudy have it and DB is the mind behind whatever you see.

Igor,
This project was the brain child of @COOPERDB and executed with DB to perfection by Ben, Rudy, and Brandon. It’s such a huge improvement over the OEM that it took me a while to take it in. These folks are the Best! Paying attention to details and delivering results that are beyond real. I walked around the Bach with DB and everything was perfect. So many great ideas designed and implemented. The thoughtfulness ranged from protection against vandalism from kids which took us a few minutes to appreciate and then go all in to the tinting that protected our eyes from glare of trucks with high beams on.
I was excited when we started the project. When we saw it in real life we were blown away, kept finding small details that when combined made art. My wife is an artist. She’s a tough critic. She said it was so much more beautiful that she thought it was a different car. So did I and I don’t have DBs or my wife’s eye for beauty. Seeing it was pure pleasure and it is 4;00 AM and I already checked it out again. It’s incredible.
We asked DB for his help and he accepted the challenge of doing anything he wanted. We didn’t know what we would come in to see. I’ll just say that this project and it’s outcome made me happy to no end, and I will especially love this Bach with these memories until I drop dead. It’s one of those one in a million days that leaves a signature on your soul.
To DB, Big Ben, Awesome Rudy, and talented Brandon—thank you from our heart and soul—you wiped memories of a rough health year and replaced it with happiness. Such things just don’t happen without outstanding people putting their talent and soul into a hard project. Thank you so much for all the wonderful hard work and for a far far better Bach than Mercedes designed. It now looks, drives, and feels the way it ought to have been built had the bean counters not invaded MB under the new CEO. Well, now you have a way to make a great ride into a dream ride. I will cherish this project and think of this day every time I look at the very Special Bach!
No matter what you get, you have to have this wonderful team make it better. I looked at so many photos when the project was going and I did not recognize the finished work of art. These are quite rare and if this helps augment your coupe with a floating beast, visit Stefan’s outstanding dealership at Mercedes of Lynnwood, the best dealership and people I have worked with, order one and ask people to make you a one of a kind ride. Whatever your expectations, they will be exceeded in every manner. So first Stefan’s dealership (ask for Jonathan at Mercedes of Lynnwood) who’s awesome help with Stefan and his team’s assistance got us the exact configuration we wanted and couldn’t find anywhere in the US.
For the memories and inspiration to be better at my job and life, I will have a picture frame for my new office. In a central spot near a fireplace to remind me to work harder, smarter, and with more passion and with more attention to details. Yes, it is that inspiring. Thank you guys—YOU ARE THE VERY BEST AND FAR BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL AT YOUR CHOICE OF PROFESSIONAL ART!!! We all strive to do our best in our jobs and produce exceptional results. These guys do it and succeed. They do the impossible.Thank you!
The best picture isn’t posted here. It is too important for me to share. It will be the one hanging in my new home office. I want to see it every day and recall this feeling and everything around it. It will act as both an motivational and inspirational reminder that I can always do better. To strive and be better at my chosen profession and life. Just like this team did. It’s good to aim higher and further. Brings the best within us out.
Really nice, like the color too DB and the team, great job! I am considering a G wagon as a bad weather car, will see if I can convince myself on it. The challenge is in a daily driver for 80% of driving time and with usable back seats, that is what coupe is for me now.
On the original topic - complete operator failure, waiting through the exit light 30 seconds delay had gotten me to the animation point.

The team is outstanding!
Great troubleshooting on the delay as root cause. Then again, you’re a great engineer, but still cool.
The G wagon is used by German SF, but if you need a people carrier, since this is not designed for high speed and tight turns, maybe the GLS63 or GLS 580. Both are available for seeing and testing at MB Lynnwood. They clearly also have the G Wagon. It’s a family business that only hires the best, and it is run by Stefan whom I truly respect and trust 100%. You have to meet those folks. You will have the peace of mind knowing the best service people will handle you car with care and attention to details. It’s the best place to buy a Mercedes-AMG or any other Mercedes. 100% honest and trustworthy people are rare. These folks are rarer still. They are the best. Dot.
It's 2 years old but I would still stop by Ben's to see if front, including hood decals could be wrapped. Might also need to figure out tinting as it is banned from the garage where bicycles now reside
