transmission tune

Looking into getting a stage1 power tune through Eurocharged for my 2017 s63amg coupe . I am also considering doing a tcu (transmission tune) through them because of the lag (hesitation) in the transmission off the line. Has anyone done a transmission tune?
What's the verdict did it help or not?

Just an update, after reading numerous posts in the E63 class forum I decided to get the Stage1ECU tune and the TCU tuned. I went with Eurocharged Chicago. The car is a whole different animal. The ECU tune really woke the car up. The TCU tune really made the transmission so much more aggressive. I feel like it got rid of the launch delay significantly and the gears feel like they shift so much harder. My son rode in the car and i floored the gas on a 60 roll and he was shocked at the kickback he felt and how hard it pulled compared to before.. The throttle response is amazing. The car was decently quick before but this really woke it up.

Regarding hesitation/delays in engine and transmission, I recently purchased a 2021 Porsche Macan GTS for my wife. Her only complaint was hesitation in comfort mode. I purchased a device called pedal commander, which sits between the gas pedal and the car's computer. It allows me to adjust the sensitivity of the gas pedal. Wow, what a difference. It only cost about $200.00. If you live in Southern CA, they are in Ventura and will install for free. While its not a tune, it definitely solves the hesitation issue. One can adjust the sensitivity via an app on the cell phone. I haven't put it on my Mercedes yet but I would consider starting with this over a tune if all you want to solve is the sensitivity issue.

I have heard of the Pedal module but read alot of reviews where people have said yes it is just the accelerator responding faster to when you push it but the transmission hesitation is still there. People have not been able to cut any 0-60 0r 1/4 mile time down with the pedal module whereas with the tau tune they have. Thats why I did the tcu tune. so far I am very happy with it and the ecu tune. For the money I will consider adding it to the mix of the tcu and ecu it can't hurt.
