So I got this beauty in 2019. I never imagined I'd be in a place in life to afford a vehicle like this and it was a bucket list type vehicle for me, so I searched high and low for about about a year for exactly the options I wanted. Diamond white with black guts, carbon interior and exterior trim, etc... Of course the mod bug bit immediately so it got a Eurocharged stage 2 tune and Remus catback exhaust. It was plenty fast at that point..... until we lost a little highway pull to a tuned Hellcat(900+hp come to find out) one day. That's when my wallet started to cry and I got ahold of Thomas at BlackBoost in UAE. Tasos, of YouTube Mercedes fame, is employed by BlackBoost to build their high HP M157 engines. After a few conversations back and forth I pulled the trigger on a fully built and sleeved engine from them. Everything is best of the best, top of the line parts and as you can see in his videos Tasos really knows his **** and is highly detail oriented when it comes to building engines. Covid added a few months of time to the build due to parts backorders but it is finally completed and installed in the car. Now I just need 800-1000 break in miles on a safe base tune before we turn up the wick and see the north side of 1000 horsepower at the wheels!!!
Build pics below but heres the specs:
-"New" 64 mile complete engine sourced by BlackBoost
-Darton cylinder sleeves
-Italian RP Platinum line pistons
-Italian RP Gold line connecting rods
-ARP head studs and connecting rod bolts
-BlackBoost dual ceramic ball bearing turbos
-HMS bridge pipes
-HMS downpipes
-Remus catback exhaust
-BlackBoost intake system
-Tuning by Jerry at Eurocharged
Not yet installed but coming prior to dyno:
-Full GAD top mounted intercooler system
-Spool low and high pressure fuel system upgrade
BlackBoost has this same combo in a GLE with 89 octane and some meth injection and got to 950 whp. So we are fairly confident 1000+whp is capable on US fuel and/or some ethanol mix if needed
Block prior to sleeving Bores being cut away Machining complete for sleeve install Darton Sleeves Italian RP Platinum line forged Billet Pistons. These things are a work of art! 2 different coatings for durability and performance ARP rod bolts as well as ARP head studs were used
Italian RP golden line rods Piston and rods complete Completed shortblock BlackBoost branded turbo upgrade Dual ceramic ball bearing center sections with upgraded hot and cold side wheels. These things spin so much nicer than OEM or even Pure turbos due to the ball bearing upgrade Arrived complete and ready to install. Packaged perfectly New wet clutch converter installed as a precaution Ready to go in HMS bridge pipes to help the big turbos breathe efficiently Another shot of the HMS bridge pipes Currently has BlackBoost intakes which will be replaced by GAD top mount intercooler system after engine is broken in
Stay tuned for more info as break-in and tuning progress...

Great build but it's " all show and no go " until you run it in a Texas mile That's the big boy play ground to see how Tassos stand against the other high power builds.

It's gonna "go", give it some time, first start was less than 24 hours ago. Needs to break-in properly before beating the hell out of it

And if and when he brings it to The Texas Mile we'll be there to support him.
If a E40 tuned car can trap near enough 190mph in the standing mile, besting a lot of "fast" cars, I have high hopes for this one! North of 200 for sure!

what are you doing with the transmission? the factory torque limiters will prevent there from being much improvement compared to a car with just a tune. This has been an issue on the E platform for awhile. Guys are showing great dyno runs with lackluster track results that aren't much faster than a tune/downpipes car.

TCU tune to open up the TQ limits.
Will build transmission if/when needed. Was going to put Southern Hotrod "War Viking" transmission in it when engine went in but the guy couldn't tell me what kind of power it would hold and I heard some not so great reviews about them so I left it alone for now.
