Looking for info on Brembo Brake discs for S63 C217
Hi guys,
I heard there are aftermarket brake discs made by Brembo that exactly fit our S63 c217 cars. And these are also quite a bit cheaper than the stock mercedes ones from the dealer. Does anyone here know the exact part number of these brake discs by any chance?

I believe you’re looking for the Brembo AMG black rotors
They are 390x36mm
Brembo Part Number 09931333 (09.9313.33)
They used to be available at Rock Auto for $290!
They still have them, but they are now $400
I used them on my r231 SL550 AMG Brake conversion (see pic below)

How were your experiences with driving these brake discs? And did you drive semi.metallic pads or carbon pads?

The rotors are excellent, no noise/runout whatsoever. They’ll work great for you. Make sure to clean the hub they sit on really well. I see lots of folks complaining about noise, but it’s usually due to disc runout/wobble. Not from the rotor itself, but rather the hub the rotors sit on may have corrosion or dust buildup. A small bit of dirt or corrosion at the center contact area can translate to several thousandths of wobble at the outer edge of the rotor.
Pads are going to be a personal choice depending on how you’re going to use the car.
My wheels are easy to clean and it’s not a daily driver so I went with the Brembo low metallic compound. The compound works good for the street. Initial bite is excellent. They are OEM for several other brands Porsche, Audi, etc…. If you drive them super hard they WILL fade. But these massive rotors/brakes generate a lot of heat. I may try different pads at some point, but for my usage overall they work ok. I like Akebono pads but they don’t make a set for those Brembo/AMG calipers, Brembo has a ceramic compound I may try. I believe Ferrodo, Endless,TRW and several others make pads for these calipers so you have lots of choices. 👍
