Hey folks I am currently debating between a 2018 s63 Coupe or a 2019/2020 E63s. I much prefer the looks of the s63 Coupe, but I’ve heard that the E63s is the better “driver’s car” and a hoot on the track with the ability to go full RWD when you want to. I do intend to track the car about once a month (maybe a little less) and I’d like to be able to have fun with it when I take it out on the track.
I’m wondering if anyone who tracks their s63 Coupe could speak to its performance on the track? I don’t expect to beat 911s but I want to have fun and not feel like the car is limiting the experience. Thoughts?
Thanks so much!

The two cars have the same engine and transmission but the E63s is 100lbs lighter so based on physics it is theoretically a better handling car. The S is significantly more luxurious. Both cars at 4500-4600 lbs are elephants on the track. Make sure you upgrade to the cc brakes or you will be paying dearly for those frequent AMG rotors and pads replacements.Originally Posted by CharlestheCat
