2016 S Class iPhone tethering
So, I have a 2016 S63 coupe. Of course, I can create a hot spot with my iPhone for my kids to use iPads, etc. However, my radar detector, an Escort Redline 360c, gets over-the-air updates from a car's wifi (not from a phone's hot spot). I have the yellow arrows on the head unit that indicate tethering, but very little data is passing through. I'm trying to get the car to activate its wifi but pull data from my phone so that the radar detector will connect to and download from the car's wifi. I realize it's more work, but it's the only way to get the radar detector to download updates. Anybody have any solutions? Thanks.
