I am lost at this point with my S63

I’m really stuck at this point with my 2014 S63. It began misfiring badly, shaking, and the check engine light came on. When I scanned it, I got multiple error codes. After some work, I managed to narrow it down to just one.

So far, I’ve:
• Replaced all spark plugs
• Installed new ignition coils
• Changed camshaft sensors
• Replaced camshaft solenoids

After doing this, the shaking and misfiring stopped, but I’m still getting one persistent code: P208800 – Actuator intake camshaft (cylinder bank 1) short circuit to ground.

I even had my ECU tested, and it came back fine. At this point, I’m completely lost and could really use some help or guidance.

Was there any oil in the harness when you replaced the sensors/solenoids? Did you double check that all the plugs on those sensors are secure and fully seated? Do you have the ability to test/activate that solenoid that is still giving trouble?

Yes I checked the harness and noticed a little oil, i sprayed it with electrial spray and the contact plug as well. I made sure the cables where plugged in firmly on all of the sensors.

Yes I have the abilty to test and activate/deactivate the solenoids. I have not done that yet. I was reading up on this and some folks said to relearn the solenoids. I will try that today.

yeah, I think that’s the first step since your diagnostic is pointing to that single solenoid..

since you saw a little bit of oil on the sensor plug, you might also want to disconnect the harness connection at the ECU and clean out the connections there, and take a look at the ecu pins to see if any oil has made its way to the ECU
