New member here. I'm considering to purchase a 2016 S63 AMG Coupe. I'm reading about this Recall with the engine stalling...I don't know the VIN number yet so I can't check, but just wonder if my car was built outside of this issue. I think my build date was July 2015. If I'm within the problem, does the software patch I'm reading about work? Many thanks
Your dealer while they are doing the PDI should be able to tell if it needs to be done. My S63 sedan is a 2016, ordered in February and took delivery in September. It fell in the recall and was performed around December.
First, I need to just say..."wow what a beautiful car"! Great color with the wheels. Second, thanks for the respond. I'm going to ask for the VIN to plug into MB website to see what comes up. I just hope the software patch really works.
The brakes are awesome. They can make some noise sometimes, however when you are driving aggressively sometimes or that spirited driving run, they cant be beat. I have no qualms about the whole vehicle. However It only has close to 2,000 miles so far. It is quite an awesome piece of machinery.
