S63 7 Speed MCT Trans Issues?
I have a 2016 S63 coming in. I read about issues with this transmission but they are mostly from 5 years ago or longer. Did they work out most of the quirks or are people still having issues with it?

What! Another issue...I've got one coming in as well...East Coast. I hope all these "software updates" fix things for good. I'm excited about the car, but seems there's several recalls out there it's making me a bit nervous. I tried plugging my VIN number in MB website "Recall" page but it does not work, so I called MB. They said the "Engine Stall" had been taken care of (I just hope so) by the initial dealer (it's being DXed) BUT there is another recall having to do with the instrument Cluster...for close to 200k, I hope I'm happy with this car.

I have a 2014 S63 and did not have any stalling issues before the ECU update. However, I think the problem that most people complain about is when you are in any drive mode other the C (i.e., S or M). In S or M, the car downshifts all the way to 1 and when it goes from 2 to 1 you can feel a slight jerk (but not any other gear changes). I think this is the jerky MCT transmission issue you here about from a lot of owners. If you drive in C, the lowest gear it will downshift is 2, so you don't feel any of the jerky transmission issues. Personally, I use S or M about 20% of the time and the remainder of my time I drive in C. This car has so much power and is so fun to drive, I will always have an S63 AMG in my garage. The car puts a smile on my face every time I punch the gas pedal, so the downshift jerkiness in S or M (which I can barely feel) doesn't bother me.
