My iPhone hates my car.. No GPS
Hey guys,
Just picked a 2018 18 W222 with Magic Sky (mentioned because I'm not sure if it's relevant) and my iPhone X as well as my fiancée's are performing poorly. Google Maps and Waze are almost non-usable. I'm thinking it's either due to the windshield or the magic sky roof that somehow blocks the signal. Anyone with this issue? Any solutions?

Wind the window down and have the phone there to see if it picks up a signal lock. That will tell you if it is the glass.
The S class does I believe have glass which could effect this. I believe some of these even have a cutout area on the windscreen up by the mirror for the toll devices to enable them to work.

Same issue here. If you put your phone on top of the dash it will work fine so it's the glass. I don't have Magic Sky. I also find that my escort Max 360 radar detector doesn't work very well in this car. There are definitely certain spots where to put your toll reader devices. I think i saw it described somewhere in the manual.

I have the same problem with my 2018 s63. I’ve brought it in several times, updated the radio ect and still have problems. I do have Magic sky control. Hooked up to the BT I get bad reception and several dropped calls.
