Any W222 S63 AMG owners that have tried the Michelin pilot sport cup 2 and the Michelin PS4S? Feedback. Need a new set of shoes and would appreciate any feedback you might have. Looking for the best all season ( live in Socal so no winter tires needed ) performance tires with a Y rating above 101. Thanks.
I own a 2016 S63 4matic with the tire sizes of front 255/40-20, rears 285/35-20. I have tried the stock Continentals. They were horrible. Lasted 6,000 miles. Switched to Michelin pilot super sport at all four corners and got an alignment at my dealer. They were awesome. The fronts wore out at around 16,000 miles. replaced fronts with the Michelin pilot sport 3. Then got an alignment at my dealer. They have been the best tire so far, in my opinion. The rears (Michelin pilot super sport) have not worn out yet, however when they do, I plan on switching the rears to the Michelin pilot sport 3's.
Thanks. Agree my wife’s 17 S63 came with continental’s and had horrible tread life and being a softer tires, the bounces more than we care for.
Thanks to Socal roads ( bad ) and MBusa’s wheel and tire protection that will replace 4 wheels and tires. Plan on getting the PS4S with wider and lower profile tires: 265/35/20 front and 295/30/20 rear. Also plan on road forcing it, BUT I have a set of HRE 21” that i plan on using on the S63. I have a set of 4 brand new still in box directly from Mercedes s63 wheels and PS4S tires that still has the stickers from the factory for sale. $7,500 including the brand new PS4S tires. Buyer pays for shipping.
