Headlight LED out...do we need to replace whole headlight?

2015 Mercedes S63 AMG
Headlight LED out...do we need to replace whole headlight?
I have a 2015 S63 AMG with night vision. The main LED for the headlight is out. All other LEDs are working.

Repair shop stated I had to replace the whole headlight which is in the thousands of dollars as all the technology in the headlight. Is this the case? Is there a way just to replace the LED and get it working?

Anyone have experience or knowledge on this?
