Any concerns with buying 75,000 miles 2015 S63?

I've been looking for a 2014-2016 S63 the last few months and have been trending towards low mileage cars (sub 25,000). However recently I came across a well equipped and well maintained 2015 S63 with 75,000 miles (always maintained at MB dealership and 1 owner).

I only drive about 5,000 miles per year and wondering if I should shy away from a high mileage S63 and pay more for a low mileage.

Any particular items I should be concerned about with a higher mileage S63 (aside from brake rotors.)

Thank you

Welcome to the forums

I don't drive said car, but it doesn't sound like it's had a rough history.....service records are good, work was good......true the miles might be a little high. I'd look at the recommended service coming up in the service manual and figure out whats coming due soon just to be aware. Kick the tires, drive the car and see where it takes you.
I'm sure others that actually have the car will chime Any more 'advice' from me will cost you some pics of your Pcars as many of us here in the MB forums are also nuts
for Pcars, I've owned 2 GL to ya!

2018 S63, lowered
It’s a complete roll of the dice. I’ve owned 3 S-Class AMG’s and I can tell you that at any given time you could be looking at a 2-3-4k minor repair regardless of the history of the vehicle. My current 2014 S63 with 66k miles and still under MB extended warranty is perfect in every way. I’m as meticulous as they come- it’s been cared for and maintained by the book by MB without cutting a single corner, and it looks better than most 63’s that are 5-6yrs newer. I brought it in a few weeks ago because the AC in the front of the car quit blowing cold. One “expansion valve” later and a massive amount of labor and I was on my way- and it cost me zero. My service rep told me that was a $1,800 repair had I had to pay for it out of pocket. That’s one of about 3-4 examples on this car and it’s actually been very reliable relative to my previous 65’s. My 221 65 several years ago lost a transmission and it was about 11k to replace it 😮- but it was under warranty of course.

This is why I’ll be selling my 63 in the next 3-4 months as the warranty is up in March. It’s a massive disappointment to me. It’s the best looking, performing and reliable sedan I’ve ever had. The car is 100% perfect for me, it runs flawlessly and people constantly comment on it’s condition and curb appeal. It’s all relative, but for me it’s just not financially savvy to keep it. The fact that I have to unload it is sickening.

I have a very general saying that I use when talking about S-Class AMG’s (that’s all I know), that I know applies to me and maybe some others - You can’t “afford” to own an AMG out of warranty, because if you could, you’d never buy a used AMG without a warranty.

Thank you very much for your insight and feedback. I've had an S8 Audi now for about 8 years and like you mention with the AMG, when something does go wrong, get ready for a nice bill, but when it's all working, it's fantastic.

I see you did a tune on your S63, any recommendations on which tuner to look at and also which exhaust did you go with.

This will be my daily driver (only about 5,000 miles per year) but certainly would like some extra hp, my GTR's in the 700 range and I use that for track days.

Again, Thank You for your advice.

I’ve got the HMS exhaust, but no tune. I had tunes on both of my 65’s from Eurocharged though and was very happy with them. 👍
