Tire Pressure Sticker Missing
Just picked up a 14 S63 this weekend and drove it 2K miles across the country! Everything went really well and we love the car.
I do have a couple of questions though (I admittedly know little to nothing about tires):
- As the title states I'm missing the tire pressure guidance sticker on the fuel door. Rear 285/35ZR20 - Front: 255/40ZR20 Continental ContiSportContact 5P. Any idea what these should be inflated to? It ranges from 50°F here overnight to mid/high 70°s during the day lol...
- If I switch to Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 will the tire pressure need to be different because they're not runflat?
- We also own a 2013 S550 and the ride quality and ride noise is night and day. The W221 is so much smoother, quieter, and all around more pleasant. I assumed the ride would be different because the S63 is a sporty car but I didn't think it would be this drastic. It's seriously so much better than the S63, could this be because the S550 has 18" wheels and thicker sidewalls? 255/45R18 Yokohama Avid Ascend GT. If not, maybe I should have the Airmatic system checked..
just call the MB service center or just drop by. They inflate tires to proper pressure for free right in the bay at most dealerships. The S63 is a different animal. If you have ABS suspension then yeah bro it will not compare to the cloud like ride that the S550 provides, but the handling and performance of the S63 is second to none for a car that big and heavy. I own a 2015 S65, which ABS is standard. I’ve owned 550’s and a 63 so I know exactly what your talking about. Welcome to the AMG brotherhood!!!
