Real non Covid/chip shortage price ?

Hi guys. What should a 3 year old S63 be going for if it weren’t for this shortage? In other words what premium do you think I’m paying for a 19 or even a 4 year old 18. There are a few 19’s at 120 and a few 18’s at 110. But that’s the lowest I am seeing. Last year I could have sworn I could’ve got an 18 off lease for 100?

2019 S63 4Matic+, 2018 E400 Cabrio, wardens car.
Really depends on mileage and options to a certain degree. There is a 19 on A Trader right now for 104K but it looks to be a lemon buyback so I would not consider that. A nice sub 30K mile example with a few of the more popular options is going to be over 120K for a 2019 as far as I can tell. Deduct 10K for a 2018 example. For 10 grand I would rather have the 19 as it was the second year of the facelift cars and they worked a few of the kinks out in 2019. I really don't think this is a chip shortage issue but rather a shortage of AMG S63's. They stopped producing this car in 2021 so they could use the M177 engine allocations for the new SL so there will probably not be another S63 for at least another year, this 2 year gap creates a vacuum that lease returns cannot fully sustain. Right now there are literally only 56 cars in the entire USA that are 2019 or newer and under 30K miles. If you want sub 15K miles there are only 23! Then you have to find the one with the options you want. Unless the market crashes, Russia invades Ukraine and premium unleaded jumps to 7-8 bucks a gallon, I do not see these cars dropping as hard as they used too for at least the next year when the 23's come out. Even then I think they will retain pretty good value as there are a lot of enthusiasts including me that do not like the W223 design. Looks like a fancy Tesla. You can always throw low ball offers at a few dealers and see if one bites. That is what I did and it worked pretty good.

You are actually right, and I just bought 19 S63 CPO with 28K miles from California and paid $132K but the MSRP when new was $190K I know I still paid 10-12K more but it was all about the options I wanted in a particular car so I paid the premium for that. I could have waited and found a better deal but from the last 4 To 5 months I am aggressively watched I saw only 2-3 cars coming in the market with that kind of MSRP option.
If there was no covid this car I bought definitely was not worth $132K it would have been like $90-$100K
