W222 S65 - misfiring?

Hey guys. 2015 W222 S65 AMG owner here. I think I’m having a misfire. Haven’t had the opportunity to have it diagnosed yet. The car only feels like it’s misfiring at idling range after it’s fully warned up. It’s not a crazy misfire where the whole car is shaking, however I do feel it.

Did this happen after refueling. Possibly bad gas. Just a thought. Have you had all proper maintenance done on the vehicle, especially when spark plugs are due. Just some ideas I am trying to throw out. Hope it gets resolved quickly.

I would check the following:
  • Spark Plugs
  • O2 Sensors
  • Try refuelling after tank is empty ,could just be bad gas like someone suggested above.
  • Injectors
  • Cam Shaft Solenoids/Sensor
I had misfire issue and mine was catalytic o2 sensor upstream, replaced and no issues.

It’s likely a coil pack. Very common on the V12’s.

'94 SL600,'05 SL600,'06 S65,'07 E63,'14 E63S,'09SL600 all sold, ‘15 S65,‘18 E63S,'17 SL65, '17S65Cab
W222 S65’s do not have coil packs. They use individual igniters that almost never fail. Same with the R231 SL65’s and other V12’s beginning in 2013.
