Benzninja coding (ILS+, Start/Stop, etc) - brief review
Came across a thread in the w222 S550 forums in regards to Benzninja coding and just finished up getting my car coding done. I haven't seen any posts in this S63 section so I figure I would post a brief overview and review.
Coding options that were just done
ILS+ - Intelligent lighting is activated, leave high beam switch on and while driving it cuts out boxes around vehicles in the path of light as to not blind them. All the while, everything else remains lit by high beam.
Sign Recognition - Dash (speed gauge area) will display speed signage and other little things as you drive along.
Video in motion - Just that, video while in motion
Map update - Legit map package w/ codes. I was in major need of an update since I was on 2014 maps.
Seatbelt chime off - Driver and Passenger chime off
Remember Start/Stop mode last selected - I didnt have any qualms about start stop but opted for this anyway, its needed for start in sport mode.
Added Sport+ - 2015 s63 only had comfort and sport, raises shift points, pretty aggressive (shift points at 5k rpm or so). Wont use it much but fun to have.
Start in Sport mode/Remember last mode selected - Now able to start in sport mode instead of default to comfort mode every time you shut off then restart car. I was considering purchasing the Renntech Valve controller but the coding to start in Sport mode opens the exhaust valves upon start. This essentially saved over $700 for the Renntech unit. You must have the "remember start/stop" coded to have this in order to work. While in comfort mode, shut off start/stop, switch to sport mode, now vehicle will remember to start in sport mode.
Overall, highly recommended, I was very impressed by his knowledge and coding skills. I opted in on the membership and will be purchasing hardware (computer, C4 unit etc) for future diagnostic use w/ Peter. For anyone with a long list of requests, you will have to get your hands on a good high amp charger/battery maintainer. My Noco Genius 1 to top off the lithium battery didnt cut it, Peter monitors the voltage during the sessions and will keep you updated as the coding goes. Communication with him is easy and scheduling service is hassle free. I was not compensated or offered anything for this review. Pricing is very very reasonable and I actually ended up saving money as a result of not having to purchase Renntech valve control.
To get the unit, message @compaddict . You will paypal him to get onto the list, when the user before you has finished, they will ship all of the hardware to you, contact benzninja to discuss and schedule coding, connect computer and C4 unit to car, benzninja does everything remotely, and after a couple of hours all done. Pack up the hardware, ship it to the next user (UPS, insured and signature delivery), once the next user receives it, you'll receive a refund minus a $60 or so rental fee.

100% available, here it is as displayed on dash above thermo along with traffic sign recognition, and ILS menu.
The selection for sport plus is through the same button that goes from C-S-M now C-S-S+-M.
Cool option to have on tap, like I mentioned earlier it’s shift points are high 4k to 5k+ rpm so it’s pretty aggressive. Wife and newborn do not approve but solo drives to work on an open road is nice.

I have OE tune loaded w/ no issues. Peter’s coding just opens up some features that exist but are regionally locked out like the ILS+.
Cost I don’t have the full breakdown handy but for everything it was under $900, pricing varies I think depending on the number of features you go for etc but can use that as a reference point. Took a few hours of active coding on his part while I sat back and cleaned my garage. Some features like sport+ I could live without but figured why not get it done since he was already in the car’s computer.

Just got some mods done. He really is a Ninja!! How do you access Sport +? I can only shift between C, S, and M. No option for Sport +. Do I have to activate it or something in a sub menu?!

Peter did similar for my 2015 S-65. I'm tickled with the results.
Something worth mentioning is that the Sport+ programming changes programming for 'sport' as well. I had previously been underwhelmed with 'sport' mode. His update changed transmission behavior such that It is great in sport. If I'm feeling like being a real savage 'Sport+' is there. I have used it twice. Have to really want to be a savage.
Peter also assisted when I got an ABC fault. Great guy and membership certainly has benefits.
