I own a 2016 S63 4matic. If memory serves the last trip I took I was getting around 24-26mpg on the highway. That was running at speeds over the speed limit, mostly. That was several years ago. It all depends how your driving the car of course. I think around town is around 12-14mpg. It depends on how much I am beating on the car. That was untuned. Recently I got a tune. Hope this helps. There are a lot of factors for these figures.
Drove from Seattle down to Portland and back this weekend racking up around 350 miles and averaged around 27MPG on the freeway doing between 70-80 most of the time. I keep it in comfort mode and it occasionally goes into cylinder deactivation mode. WIth this car it really depends on how heavy your foot is. It will go as fast as you want but fast speed and fast acceleration have a pretty dramatic effect on MPG.

Cummuting is similar. My 36 mile commute averages 60-70mph from door to door; including time getting to and from the freeway.
So basically this 600+hp V8 monster gets awesome MPG if you are driving relaxed? Those are literally Golf GTI figures but in a HUGE V8!
Thank you all for the replies! I've also seen the M157 has almost no issues, but do any of you know by any chance what turbos are on them or when they should be replaced?
Can't seem to find anything but the fact they're made by Garret
