2015 S65 w222 SPARE TIRE OPTIONS
Hi all,
I recently purchased a 2015 s65 and realized it has no spare tire. I rather have a spare since I travel long distances and rather not rely on tow service if I get a bad enough flat/tire. I have read that the W221 spare tire and jack set will fit on a 2015 s65. Can anyone who has replaced their run flats with non runflats comment on whether the ride changed dramatically and if the W221 spare tire/jack do work on our year...also...I dont believe the w222 has any space to put the spare...so it must sit in the trunk.

The S65 does not have run flat tires, it came from the factory with non run flats and a tire inflator/mobility kit. The correct tires are the MB extra load rated tires with a (Y), not Y, speed rating. I have tried several brands and like the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
Any spare will need to sit on the trunk floor. Several owners have bought W221 spares for their S550/560’s. I do not know if anyone verified that spare will clear the AMG front brakes. Someone else here may know.
