NO MASSAGE OR LUMBAR...HOW TO TEST PSE PUMP?
I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2015 S65 WITH NON WORKING MASSAGE OR LUMBAR. ACCORDING TO MY SCANNER..THERE IS A GROSS LEAK..MECHANICAL FAULT. ERROR CODE B1E8007.
USING THE SCANNER I CAN COMMAND THE PSE PUMP TO RUN AND I HEAR IT BUT THE SCANNER DOES NOT SEE THE PRESSURE BUILD UP IN THE RESERVOIR. AFTER A MINUTE OR SO THE PUMP SHUTS DOWN AND SETS THE SAME ERROR CODE REGARDING A GROSS LEAK.
I REMOVED THE PSE PUMP FROM THE TRUNK AND SAW THE RED GREEN AND BLUE AIR LINES....THEY SEEMED FINE WITH NO NOTICEABLE LEAKS. THE PART NUMBER IS A2229004609. IS THERE A WAY TO TEST THE PUMP AND DETERMINE IF THE ISSUE IS THE PUMP ITSELF NOT GENERATING ENOUGH PRESSURE OR IF THE PUMP ITSELF IS LEAKING THE PRESSURE? I BELIEVE THE GREEN PRESSURE FROM THE PUMP IS WHERE THE PRESSURE GOES FROM THE PUMP TO THE RESERVOIR?
I TRIED BLOWING AIR INTO ALL 3 OF THE AIR HOSES BUT I DIDNT FEEL ANY RESISTANCE. SHOULD ANY OF THESE AIRLINES BE SEALED AND ALLOW PRESSURE TO BUILD?
I DONT MIND BUYING A NEW OR USED PSE PUMP BUT BASED ON MY RESEARCH THAT IS NOT ALWAYS THE ANSWER. I DONT HEAR ANY HISSING SOUNDS FROM THE CABIN AND I BELIEVE THERE IS ANOTHER AIR STORAGE THAT IS BEHIND THE PSE PUMP...ITS BURIED BEHIND OTHER MODULES AND HAS ONLY THE GREEN AND BLUE AIR LINES GOING TO IT.
ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPECIATED.

In my situation both the massage and dynamic seats did not work at all. The pump would run for a few seconds and then shut off. I smoke tested the air lines from the air pump in the trunk and found 1 air line broken under the drivers seat..and I also replaced the air pump and had it reprogrammed by the dealer. If your pump is coming on when you command it on..it may be a small leak in an airline or perhaps the pump is leaking or weak? If you have a smoke machine it helps pinpointing where the leak is....otherwise have a shop or dealership locate it.
